On average it takes 10 minutes or so to treat a big toe and up to 45 minutes to treat all 10 toenails. The vast majority of the patients require only one treatment. Our clinical studies to date reveal that over 88% of treated patients show significant improvement. In most cases, fungal nails are completely cured.
Patients begin to see improvement usually within 3 months and are followed for improvement, as the nail grows out, for one year. The laser treatment will not cause your toenails to discolor or fall off. There have been no adverse reactions, injuries, disabilities, or burning side effects associated with laser treatment. Unlike oral medications for the treatment of fungal nails, the PinPointe Foot Laser has no risks to the kidney, liver, or white blood cells. Our patients are able to walk out of the office in their own shoes with no pain and return to work that day. Pedicures and nail polish are not prohibited after laser treatment. The treatment involves an initial consultation with Dr. Neville, nail debridement, laser treatment, and periodic follow-up care to evaluate improvement.
